The Making of Mutiny on the Bounty (1935) on YouTube:

This is that classic story that chronicled the events of the HMS Bounty in 1789 and became a beacon of changing maritime laws after this story unfolded.  It is the definitive re-telling of the clash between Captain William Bligh (yes, this is where we got the line, "Captain Bligh Sir".  It came from this), played, almost eloquently, in a creepy asshole kind-of-way by Charles Laughton and his whistle-blower/mutiny leader Fletcher Christian (Mr. Christian), played great by Clark Gable.

The story about an oppressive brutal leader on the high seas pushing his men to the point where they rebel on the way to Tahiti for breadfruit.  They take control of the ship, set Bligh adrift and make a daring escape back to Tahiti and eventually to the isolated island of Pitcairn, where they spend the rest of their lives.

Pitcairn Island Today (1935) on YouTube: (Great stuff)  This came out the same year as the movie and talks about what life is like for the descendants of the Bounty on this tiny isolated island:
